SEGER & TERMO

What is a great day?

Great days are when you can do exactly what you want. Days full of freedom, preferably in the fresh air, and activities that challenge and entertain you.

Great days are when you’re not cold. When your gear and clothing work as they should. Seger and Termo have been dressing active people for the outdoors for over 175 years, and we’re good at it. We’ve developed the knowledge and technology, and created combinations of materials and designs that really make a difference. It makes days a little better.

Having a good day also means making the right choices. We have specially knitted socks for different activities; we have different thicknesses and constructions for our base layers to suit the more active athlete, precise when it comes to base layers for the more sedentary hunter.

We have specially knitted zones and specially selected materials on our alpine socks that reduce friction and promote moisture transfer in our hiking and running socks. Small details may seem insignificant. But it is in the details that the difference is noticeable.

Active work to reduce our impact on our planet goes without saying. We continue to knit with recycled polyamide. We use leftover yarn from the past and knit hats from what would otherwise go into the trash.

We think twice before creating something new, and above all, we make products that last a long time – a very long time. Some even come with a lifetime warranty. This means that these are the last socks you will ever need to buy.

WELCOME TO SEGER & THERMO AUTUMN AND WINTER 2024 FOR BETTER DAYS. TODAY – AND TOMORROW.

The forest has no finish line. As a result, we will never reach the final goal of environmental work. We want our planet to be the big winner.

Today, all Termo products are knitted using fossil fuels, with environmentally friendly certified wind energy – in Sweden. Seger knits most of its products in the factory, where they are also sewn, finished and packaged.

We have a common environmental goal to strive for. We optimize logistics, minimize transportation, maximize shopping routines and reduce waste. We are proud to be one of the few companies that still manufactures its products in Sweden. This is an extremely conscious decision.

175 years – the combined age of Seger and Termo. During this long period, we have gained extensive experience. If you don’t know what you are doing in our sector, you will not survive the fierce competition, the crises of the textile industry and the threats of cheap imported products. It is about an unsurpassed combination of technology and tradition. Being able to look into the future and find out what athletes and active people will need tomorrow. Searching for new materials. Combining existing materials with each other to obtain new properties. Handling knitting machines in the same way that piano virtuosos handle their concert grand pianos. Creating our compression laboratory or working tirelessly with different combinations of materials to find the optimal moisture transfer between two layers. It is about having technology as a tradition. In the blood. In the hands.

Most of our design work is done with the aim of creating functional clothing. The garments are designed for different activities, offering the best fit, comfort and performance. At the same time, we maintain a high level of design with beautiful shapes, color palettes and aesthetically appealing products.

Design also includes choosing the right materials. Materials for maximum moisture transfer. Materials that retain heat when wet – wicking and insulating. Technical materials that reduce chafing and knitted zones that reduce friction. Materials that facilitate movement and support and protect sensitive areas.

Few laboratories are better than Mother Earth. We use wool in many of our products because nothing can replace it – to name all the properties of this unique material. Warmth and wicking capabilities. Antibacterial properties. Odorless. Naturalness. Sustainability. Look and feel. Environmental impact.

The challenges our design team faces every day include: Safety. Warmth. Environmental impact. Moisture transfer. Abrasion. Absorbency. Durability. Comfort. Fit. Lifespan. Durability. Protective performance. Seam location and strength. Leg, sleeve and sock lengths. Cuff widths. Heel lengths. And needle gauges to achieve exactly the right airy feel in our knits.
