Supershape JRS Children’s Skis for the 2026/27 season are designed for young skiers who already have a good grasp of the basics and want a more stable, precise and sporty ski to continue progressing. The set includes JRS 7.5 GW CA bindings, providing a matching HEAD junior system that is easy to use and adapted to children’s and junior ski boots.

HEAD describes the Supershape JRS as a ski whose construction creates stability, balance and control even at higher speeds. This means it is not intended only for first turns, but primarily for young skiers who already ski confidently on groomed slopes and want to develop more precise carving and better ski control.

Supershape JRS Children’s Skis for Progression

On the official HEAD website, the Supershape JRS is classified as Advanced, On Piste, Medium Speed and Short Radius. The short radius allows quick and easy changes of direction, making the model very suitable for learning to properly guide the skis on their edges. At a length of 140 cm, HEAD specifies a radius of 10.7 m, providing a good balance between maneuverability and stability.

The profile uses 85% camber and 15% rocker at the tip. The camber ensures good edge contact with the snow and support through the turn, while the slightly raised tip makes turn initiation easier and helps the young skier guide the skis with less effort.

Stability, Balance and Control

With children’s skis, it is important that the construction is not too aggressive while still providing enough stability for a more advanced child to develop their technique. The Supershape JRS is positioned exactly in this range: it is more capable than basic beginner children’s models while still being adapted to the body weight and strength of a young skier.

For children who already link turns, control their speed well and want to learn cleaner carving, the Supershape JRS Children’s Skis are an excellent choice. The ski provides more precise control on groomed slopes while remaining predictable enough for a full day of skiing.
