Salomon Equipe GS Pro skis are giant slalom-oriented race skis for advanced skiers who want greater stability, speed and support through longer turns. The 2026/27 model uses a 115 / 65 / 98 mm geometry, a 15 m radius, Full Ash Woodcore, Double Ti, Full Sandwich construction, a P749 race plate and comes as a complete setup with I12 bindings. Salomon Equipe GS Pro skis – race character for the open piste
The Equipe GS Pro is intended for skiers who ski actively and quickly and want a stable feel through medium-length and longer turns. Compared with the slalom version, the geometry is narrower and the radius is longer, so the model rewards a smooth turn entry, strong pressure through the middle of the turn and a stable exit at higher speeds.
Salomon classifies the model as Advanced and uses a Racing Profile. The official description highlights explosive acceleration, precise edge grip and a very high level of control. The setup also includes I12 TL bindings, which can be quickly mounted and adjusted.
Full Ash Woodcore and Double Ti
Full Ash Woodcore is a full ash wood core inspired by race constructions. Its purpose is to provide stability, dynamic response and high reactivity. In GS skiing, this is particularly important because at higher speeds the ski needs a solid foundation that does not deform unpredictably under pressure.
Double Ti means two layers of Titanal, one on each side of the core. Titanal helps improve performance on hard snow and increases precision, edge grip and responsiveness. In longer turns, the result is a calmer and more stable ski that handles greater forces throughout the turn.
Full Sandwich Sidewalls and precise edge contact
Salomon uses Full Sandwich Sidewalls for direct energy transfer and more consistent contact between the ski and the snow. The ski also features 7 mm ABS sidewalls, which increase structural support and help maintain precise edge contact.
The 7° Side Edge Angle is designed for quick and decisive turn initiation. With a 65 mm waist underfoot, the ski moves onto its edge very quickly, making the Equipe GS Pro particularly interesting for skiers looking for a race feel on hard, groomed pistes.
Power Control System and P749 race plate
The Power Control System (PCS) combines cork inserts and Titanal. Salomon uses this system to retain the raw power of the construction while reducing unwanted vibrations. This is important at higher speeds, where a stable connection with the snow is essential for confidence in the edge.
The P749 Race Plate forms a sporty platform beneath the binding. The setup includes skis + plate + I12 bindings, so the product is already assembled as a complete system. The I12 TL is designed for quick mounting and position adjustment without complicated intervention.
On-snow feel
Salomon Equipe GS Pro skis make the most sense for an advanced skier who enjoys speed and more room for the turn. The 15 m radius gives the ski a more open, giant slalom character than the Equipe SL Pro. The ski requires good technique and clear pressure, but in return offers stability, precision and strong grip on hard snow.
If you are choosing between the Equipe GS Pro and the S/LAB Equipe GS, it is important to know that the Equipe GS Pro already comes as a complete setup with I12 bindings and is designed as a commercial race setup. The S/LAB version uses a different race plate and is sold without bindings, so the two products are aimed at somewhat different types of skiers.

Choosing the length
The 182 cm length is included in our delivery. With a GS-oriented model, the length is particularly important, as a longer ski provides greater stability and support at speed while also requiring more space and more developed technique. When choosing the length, body height, weight, speed, ability and skiing style should all be taken into account.
Servicing and setup
Regular edge and base preparation is important to maintain the race feel. On hard snow, the difference between a well-prepared and poorly prepared edge becomes apparent very quickly. The bindings must be professionally adjusted according to the ski boot and the user.
