Salomon Addikt Skis are a versatile sporty on-piste setup for advanced skiers who want a carving feel but do not need a platform as narrow and aggressive as the Addikt Pro 66. The 72 mm waist provides greater stability and versatility in different piste conditions, while the 11 m radius still allows lively short and medium-length turns.

Salomon Addikt Skis – Main Advantages

The Poplar Woodcore forms the basis for a balanced response, good snow contact and enough forgiveness for all-day use. Double Ti adds two Titanal layers that improve grip on hard surfaces and help the ski remain stable at higher speeds. Semi Sandwich Sidewalls provide a compromise between direct power transmission and a slightly more forgiving feel.

Motion Tail increases the flexibility and stability of the rear section of the ski. This helps when exiting a turn, where the tail more easily follows changes in pressure and allows the skier to choose between a more relaxed skiing style and stronger carving. As a result, the Addikt is not limited to just one type of turn.

Who Are They Designed For?

The On-Piste Profile is designed for groomed slopes. The ski performs best on compact snow, where it can take advantage of the combination of precise edge grip, Titanal and a relatively short radius. It provides advanced skiers with enough support for sporty skiing while being less demanding than pure race models.

The set includes skis, an Easytrak plate and MI12 bindings. Our available sizes include 156, 163, 170 and 177 cm. The shorter length provides a more playful feel, while the longer length offers greater stability at higher speeds.

Feel on Groomed Slopes

The Salomon Addikt is designed primarily for use on groomed ski slopes, where its construction can take advantage of good edge contact with the snow. With this type of ski, the skier gets the most out of it by initiating the turn with a clear weight transfer and allowing the ski to work according to its geometry. On harder morning snow, the torsional support, core and reinforcements come into their own; on softer afternoon slopes, how much forgiveness the construction retains becomes more important.

Comparison with the Addikt Pro 66 and More Recreational Models

The Addikt is wider and somewhat more versatile than the Addikt Pro 66. If you want maximum edge-to-edge speed and a very sporty feel, the Pro 66 is more direct. If, however, you want one model for an entire day on the mountain and a little more reserve when the slope becomes uneven, the standard Addikt is a more balanced choice. Compared with recreational models, Double Ti provides more support and grip, which also requires a more active skier.

Why Is a 72 mm Waist Important?

For on-piste skis, the width under the boot has a strong influence on the feeling during edge-to-edge transitions. With its 72 mm waist, the Addikt remains narrow enough for fast carving while providing more surface area and reserve than extremely narrow race models. This becomes useful later in the day, when the slope is no longer perfectly smooth. The skier therefore gets not only a short radius, but a more versatile all-day setup.

For the customer, the important question is therefore whether they want the maximum directness of the Addikt Pro 66 or the somewhat more balanced character of the standard Addikt. Both are sporty, but they are designed for different purposes and provide a different feel.

How to Choose the Right Length?

When choosing ski length, do not look only at your height. Also consider your body weight, ability level, speed, turn type and whether you want a more agile or more stable ski. A shorter length generally transitions from edge to edge more quickly, while a longer length provides greater stability and support at speed.

Maintenance and Preparation

Regular edge and base maintenance is important for preserving the ski’s performance. Sporty constructions are particularly sensitive to dull edges, as this compromises the very precision for which you buy the ski. After several days of skiing, check the edges, base and binding settings.
