Salomon S/PRO Alpha C BOA 100 is a men’s ski boot for the 2026/27 season, designed for skiers who want a precise fit, good power transmission and the ability to fine-tune the fit very precisely. Salomon places it in the intermediate performance level, with a flex of 100, a narrow 98 mm last and the BOA® Fit System on the cuff. Our available sizes are 27/27.5, 28/28.5 and 29/29.5.
Salomon S/PRO Alpha C BOA 100 – who is it for?
The model is suitable for a skier who has outgrown a softer recreational boot and wants more control, but does not yet need a stiff race boot. The flex 100 provides sporty support without being excessively demanding, while the narrow 98 mm last is designed for a tighter, performance-oriented fit. Correct sizing and foot shape are therefore particularly important with this model.
The Salomon S/PRO Alpha C BOA 100 is not simply a classic boot with a different buckle. The BOA® system is part of the overall foot-hold concept and works together with the cuff shape and ExoDrive and Powerlink technologies.
BOA® Fit System and foot hold
The BOA® Fit System on the cuff enables micro-precise adjustment. Instead of the large increments of a traditional buckle, the skier can adjust the fit in very small steps, helping to provide more even pressure around the lower leg. Salomon also uses an innovative third-overlap cuff design that improves heel retention and helps the boot function as an integrated system.
This is particularly useful for skiers who want good heel hold without feeling that they have to overtighten the boot. Precise foot hold is important for transferring movement to the ski, as less unnecessary foot movement means a more direct response.
ExoDrive and Powerlink
ExoDrive™ and Powerlink™ are designed for efficient energy transmission and a more responsive feel. In this model, Salomon uses a lower pivot point and an increased cuff surface area, improving power transmission from the leg into the shell and helping with ski control.
This type of construction is particularly important when skiing more actively and wanting the boot to transfer pressure to the edge quickly. Compared with a softer recreational boot, the feel is more direct, while flex 100 still allows enough progression for all-day skiing.
S/PRO CF liner and customization
The updated S/PRO CF liner uses a CF 3D construction designed for a comfortable, supportive and adaptable fit. Salomon places a strong emphasis on customization within the S/PRO family, making this model particularly suitable if you want to further adapt the boot to the shape of your foot.
Custom Shell™ HD allows a boot fitter to quickly thermoform the lower part of the shell and/or the shell and cuff. The thin-wall construction keeps the foot closer to the shell, helping with precision while also allowing problematic pressure points to be adjusted.

Choosing the right size and boot fitting
With ski boots, we do not recommend choosing the size based solely on your usual shoe size. Foot length in millimeters, width, instep height, heel shape and overall foot volume are all important. Who might be better suited to another model?
If you want a stiffer, more race-oriented boot, the S/PRO Race 110 is a logical step up. If you are looking for a more comfortable and wider boot for relaxed recreational skiing, it makes sense to consider a model with a higher volume or wider last.
