Salomon S/PRO Race 110 is a men’s race-oriented ski boot for the 2026/27 season, combining features from Salomon’s Race and Pro lines. It is designed for advanced skiers who want highly precise power transmission, strong heel hold and extensive adjustability, without opting for the stiffest racing flex. The model uses a flex of 110, a narrow 96 mm last and weighs 1,920 g per boot.

Salomon S/PRO Race 110 – for advanced skiers

Salomon classifies this model as Advanced and describes it as a hard boot. The flex 110 is suitable for sporty skiers with good technique who can take advantage of a more direct boot and want more support when skiing fast or carving aggressively. The narrow 96 mm last provides a distinctly performance-oriented foot hold.

This is not a boot where comfort is achieved through a large internal volume. The goal is a snug and precise connection between the foot and shell, so choosing the correct size and, if necessary, professional boot fitting are essential parts of the purchase.

Race Spine and power transmission

Race Spine with two screws increases support in the rear section of the boot and improves energy transmission. Salomon designed the model to remain precise and stable during powerful turns, while the shell is more progressive than that of the stiffest pure race models.

The updated World Cup Energyzer strap further stabilizes the lower leg. Strong contact between the shin, liner and cuff helps transfer pressure efficiently to the ski, especially during quick edge changes and under higher forces.

96 mm last and strong heel hold

Salomon uses a 96 mm last, reduced internal volume and a 3D Instep shell. The second front buckle is positioned at a 45° angle, helping to secure the heel and provide a better wrap around the foot. The aim is to reduce foot movement inside the boot and maintain a direct response.

This design is particularly beneficial for skiers with narrower feet or those who want a tighter performance fit. If you have a very wide foot or high-volume foot, this model may not be the right choice without customization.

World Cup liner and Custom Shell™ HD

The liner is designed according to World Cup principles and intended to provide a firm fit. Custom Shell™ HD allows a boot fitter to customize the lower part of the shell and/or cuff, which is important with such a narrow boot.

Salomon emphasizes that the boot is fully disassemblable. This makes servicing, replacing individual components and advanced boot fitting easier. For demanding skiers, this is a major advantage, as the fit can be adjusted and maintained over time.

Choosing the right size and boot fitting

With a 96 mm race last, sizing must be precise. We recommend measuring the length and width of the foot and assessing its volume, instep height and heel shape. An oversized boot will lose precision, while an undersized boot without proper customization can cause unnecessary discomfort. At E-Sports Workshop, we can help with foot measurements and boot fitting.

S/PRO Race 110 or S/PRO Alpha C BOA 100?

The S/PRO Alpha C BOA 100 has a flex of 100, a 98 mm last and a more accessible character for intermediate-to-advanced skiers. The S/PRO Race 110 is narrower, stiffer and more direct, making it more suitable for an advanced skier looking for a race feel and greater support. The choice should be based on technique, body weight, skiing style and foot shape, not simply on the higher flex number.

Maintenance

Because the boot is fully disassemblable, individual components can be serviced and adjusted. After skiing, we recommend drying the liner at a moderate temperature and regularly checking the buckles, screws and soles.
