Edge guide for sharpening the side edges of skis and snowboards. The slot helps prevent debris from reaching the ski base. Simply secure the file to the edge guide with pliers and sharpen the side edges. It is also used by professional ski technicians servicing World Championship competitors.
We recommend wearing gloves when using the edge guide. Pliers must be purchased separately.
Before use, remove excess material around the edge, such as plastic or phenolic material, with a phenol cutter or coarse file. After sharpening, we recommend removing the burr using an Arkansas stone or a diamond file with a grit of 325 or 400.
